Compression occurs at a single point. Tide, salt, heat, contact history, inputs of variable number, resolved into one output at fixed intervals.
Ta’Lur is one of three organisms: a fruit, an insect, a bird ,whose interactions form the basis of Sangkalan, a fictional island ecosystem and the invented culture that emerges from it. Within this system, Ta’Lur occupies the originating position: everything the other two organisms do is a response to, or a continuation of, what happens here first. Selatri’s pollination patterns shape the conditions under which Ta’Lur releases; Zauran’s calls carry the imprint of that release forward across generations. forming a single distributed process.
Sangkalan exists as a substrate-independent process, one that has parallels within the blockchain but exists instead as a a symbiotic ecosystem that reflects an unseen human culture. Within Sangkalan, technical systems are not discrete but inherent recurring structures. It emerges whenever a decentralized system requires a way to record state across distributed, untrusted components without a governing authority. Whether manifested through cryptographic operations, birdsong, insect swarms, or sap chemistry, the medium is secondary to the pattern itself. This architecture is neither fundamentally biological nor computational; it predates both domains entirely.
